The Federal Register published the official version of the FAA’s notice of proposed rulemaking for its Streamlined Launch and Reentry Licensing Requirements dated today. You can find a copy here. In it, the FAA proposes new requirements and organizational changes for obtaining a launch or reentry vehicle operator license, the safety requirements, and the terms and conditions of a vehicle operator license.
Comments due: June 14, 2019. Don’t forget that the FAA posted on-line a copy of the draft it provided to the Federal Register. I suspect this will make it harder to obtain an extension of the comment period.
