I have an article, Certain Legal Issues Associated with Private Space Activity, in this quarter’s Revue Diplomatique n°13, which is dedicated to “Les nouveaux défis juridiques et géopolitiques du secteur spatial,” that is, the new legal and geopolitical challenges of space. Mine is in English.
A copy of the publication may be found here. The Revue Diplomatique is published by the Institute of Applied Geopolitical Studies, a French think tank.
Congratulations, Laura! Alas, you failed to mention that it costs nearly 10 Euros to get the Revue Diplomatique. Any chance of getting a copy of your article for free, directly from you?
Merci a l’avance!
Sylvia Ospina PS MY NEW EMAIL APPEARS BELOW.
Hi Sylvia
Thank you! Unfortunately, my understanding is that one should wait a year before sharing an article appearing in someone else’s journal. I feel that the right thing to do is to wait until then. My article reflects much of what I’ve been writing about here on the blog: that the Outer Space Treaty may and should be interpreted to allow recognition of private property rights; regulation is necessary only when sufficient hazards exist to warrant the expenditure of government resources; and that the harmful contamination provisions only apply to States Parties, not to private operators.
